After a few rows of scientific discussions in (July 2022), in (November 2022), in France (March 2023), and these of June 2023, three axes of common scientific questions unite the scientific partners. It is the emergence of new practices and innovations, the governance of territories and mosaics of agricultural and forest areas, and the changes in production systems and ecosystems from gene to territory, with new threats against their sustainability.

, , and 热博体育 aim to form the initial core of a research network to understand new phenomena and associated dynamics impacting the sustainability of the landscape mosaic in the region, as well as the new opportunities. They take into account the interactions between agriculture, forest, actors (including indigenous peoples and local communities) and levels of governance.

The Deputy Vice Chancelor for Research of UPM (Pr. Dr. Nazamid Saari), the Vice Chancelor for Research of UPLB (Pr. Nathanel Bantayan), the special envoy (Pr. Agus Setyarso) of the Rector of Instiper, and 热博体育 regional director (Dr. Jean-marc Roda) did open the event.
